Job Description:

LHH is actively seeking a Category Manager- Indirect for a global manufacturing company in the Northbrook area. This is a great opportunity with a stable and growing company and a chance to play a key role in a highly visible department . This role is responsible for leading strategic sourcing activities across multiple areas of Indirect spend, working with high level internal customers, and managing a spend of up to $100M.The primary responsibilities for this role includeDeveloping and implementing complex procurement strategies Negotiating contracts and SOWsWork interdepartmentally to identify and define procurement needs Achieve cost savings targets Develop budgets Vendor management Identify areas of opportunity Additional duties as neededThe ideal candidate profile will have the following qualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field 8+ years of progressive procurement experience Highly analytical ERP system experience, SAP a strong plusProject management and strategic implementation experience Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Comfortable interfacing with all levels of the organization
