Job DescriptionRule One Proteins, LLC seeks a curious, energetic, self-motivated, and talented Graphic Designer to join its growing internal marketing team. The Graphic Designer position is a full-time salaried position that will work out of the Chicago, IL office, and report to the Creative Director. Shehe will work with marketing and creative teams to produce creative assets that accomplish established communication and business objectives while adhering to and leveraging our unique brand position. Shehe will participate and often lead the development of visual creative projects including concepts, designs, logos, icons, renderings, and illustrations for a wide variety of promotional materials. The right candidate must demonstrate a willingness to look beyond the obvious solution, work smart, take personal initiative and on occasion work beyond the job description to meet the dynamic needs of our fast-paced and changing business. Job Responsibilities:Conceive and create imagery, commercial designs, logos, icons, renderings, and illustrations for product packaging, digital assets, print advertisements, billboards, signage, catalogs, flyers, branded gearswag, tradeshows & events, corporate identity, etc.Successfully execute creative materials from concept through production, including file preparation and production thru fulfillmentWork independently and in collaboration with internal and client teams to manage projects effectively within approved schedules and budgetsBuild and manage relationships with 3rd party marketing related vendors - acting as a primary contact for feedback, requesting samples & quotations, evaluating colors & substrates, etc.Use and maintain an organized file backup system (Brandfolder) to insure ease of access for our partnersAssist the creative and marketing team with visualconceptual support for presentations and other internal marketing needs.Other related marketing duties included, but not limited to:Attending and supporting the Rule One brand at trade events (as needed)Assisting "photovideo shoots" involving Rule One athletes, products, etc.Supporting external promotional agencies (as needed) Skills Required:Ability to take a project from ideation to reality, participating and occasionally leading the design development process.Possess the skills and experience necessary to creatively and effectively communicate desired messaging through visual meansA solid understanding of the design process from discovery thru evaluationAppreciation of good design principles and their application to brand communicationsHighly attention to details and a "get it done" attitudeAbility to work proactivelyefficiently even if direction may be limitedAbility to understand basic marketing briefs and apply design thinking accordinglyIdentify and apply emerging design trends and associated new toolsAbility to understand and leverage brand standards and guidelines to ensure all work connects back to a singular focused brand strategy while remaining relevant to the specific communicationAbility to maintain a functioning and up to date library of cloud-based brand assets to ensure that they are consistent with brand positioningvaluesIn partnership with marketing leadership, contribute to the development of Rule 1's visual strategy that aligns with company goals and objectives Personal Traits:· Communicate clearly and concisely through visual, verbal, and written meansWork well independently and in cross functional teamsHave a proven track record of on-time project delivery· Willingness to accept constructive feedback positivelyArrive to work punctually and deliver projects on-timeHave an affinity for nutrition and an active, healthy lifestyleMust be very attentive to detailMust work proactively and efficiently even when direction may be limited· Demonstrate willingness to work together with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.· Demonstrate the ability to set, prioritize goals and achieve goals as scheduled.· Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to rapidly changing situations· Demonstrates curiosity and a desire to learn· Willingness to do menial tasks or take on more complex challengesSystem Skills RequiredConsistent understanding & use of:· Proficient with Adobe CC (Ps, Ai, Id, etc.), MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).· Familiar with popular social media platforms including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and LinkedIn· Remote connectivity to communicate seamlessly from various locations.
