Title: Director of Assessment ServicesCompensation: $75,000 - $90,000Schedule: Full-TimeType: On-site Job Description:Join the dynamic team at Educational Vistas as we continue our 30-year mission of providing high-quality exams to school districts. We're on the lookout for a new Director of Assessment Services to lead our assessment initiatives to new heights. As the maestro of assessment strategies, you'll orchestrate the development and execution of ELA, math, and social studies exams, using data-driven insights to enhance educational outcomes. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our talented team to design and implement assessment methods that empower educators and institutions. Your keen analytical skills will drive continuous improvement and ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of educational technology. Responsibilities: Lead the development and refinement of ELA, math, and social studies exams and scoring rubrics, ensuring alignment with educational standards and pedagogical best practices.Drive a strategic vision for the evolution of our assessments to meet the dynamic needs of students and educators.Explore and implement cutting-edge assessment methodologies and technologies to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of our exams.Collaborate with the software department to integrate innovative tools and platforms into the assessment development process.Collaborate with the sales department to develop effective marketing strategies.Oversee the enhancement and maintenance of our item bank, ensuring it remains a robust repository of high-quality assessment materials.Implement strategies for ongoing item bank improvement based on feedback, trends, and educational research.Conduct ongoing market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging educational needs, providing valuable insights to inform assessment development.Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, fairness, and validity of all assessments.Conduct regular reviews and audits to uphold the highest standards of assessment quality.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including subject matter experts, software developers, and writers to create assessments that meet the diverse needs of students, teachers, and educational institutions.Generate schedules and style sheet guidelines for writers, freelance proofreaders, and curriculum experts.Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and creativity. Qualifications:Advanced degree in Education or a related field preferred. Bachelor's degree required.PMP certification is preferred.Minimum 4 years of project management experience required.Minimum 4 years of assessment development experience required.Proven track record in leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage high-performing mitment to observing culturally responsive pedagogies in assessment design.Expert knowledge of educational standards and emerging trends in assessment methodologies, including: development best practices, quality assurance, and long-term budgeting strategies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely in a respectful and courteous manner.Proficiency in data analysis and understanding of assessment data interpretation.An unwavering positive attitude that inspires and motivates colleagues.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment and meet project deadlines.  How to Apply:If you're a visionary leader ready to make an impact on education through innovative assessment, we want to hear from you.
