Job Description:

Performs electrical work under the direction of the building Master Electrician and or Journeyman Electrician. Maintains a high level of safety awareness on all work assignments and responds to emergency requests to eliminate unsafe or inefficient conditions. Works from approved drawings or specifications to perform electrical installation or modification to main and auxiliary lighting, control panels and transformers, junction boxes, disconnects and buss ducts, electrical powered acdc machinery, and product line processes. Assists in the diagnosis of electrical problems and recommends solutions. Participates in plantoffice or project re-arrangements requiring electrical installation. Provides a wide variety of electrical assistance in support of work orders, projects and preventative maintenance. Maintains proficiency in the appropriate State Building and Electrical Codes. Uses facility Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all scheduled predictive and preventative maintenance tasks, emergency maintenance, and labor activities. Uses facility CMMS to identify opportunities for improving the facility equipment and labor performance. Performs miscellaneous support as required and is available for emergency call-in when necessary. Coordinates with contractors and vendors to maintain the backup generators and documents the scheduled preventative maintenance performed. Must be willing to work at multiple facilities as required. Other duties as assigned.THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED• Perform the installation of wire, conduit, switches and receptacles in buildings per the NEC (National Electrical Code).• Demonstrate ability to bend EMT, IMC, and RMC conduit, with both hand hold and hydraulic benders.• Experience pulling groups of 18 to 4 Ga. wires in conduit and cable trays.• Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, motors, HVAC systems, control cabinets, PLC's, DCS's, lights, fire alarm and communication systems, variable speed drives, and other electrically operated control equipment.• Demonstrate ability to read electrical schematics (single lines) and diagrams including line and load interconnectionstermination standards as well as terminate associated control and power wires.• Possess electrical safety certifications.
