Our mission is to help schools empower students for careers in robotics, automation, and engineering by providing industry-relevant training hardware, curriculum, and software.IST is actively seeking an educational sales consultant in the CentralEastern NY and Eastern PA territories.The educational sales consultant would be responsible for growing this region by actively engaging with educational and workforce development institutions to promote and sell training solutions to meet the customer's needs.Ideal candidate is passionate about building the future workforce, and has an appreciation for skilled trades. Existing experience in either the education sector or manufacturingautomationengineering sector is ideal, but not required.Work with world leading automation and technology suppliers such as FANUC America, Rockwell Automation, Stratasys, and many more! Bring industry leading and cutting edge technology to the classroom to equip the future workforce with the skills and credentials needed to succeed in an ever changing technology focused job market.Job Responsibilities: Prospects customers within regional territory and target marketServices existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily scheduleResponds to sales leads as appropriate to territoryPrepares customer quotes and proposalsConsults with all levels within an educational institution (Presidents, Superintendents, Directors, Deans, Instructors)Professionally communicates with suppliers and distribution partnersAttends trade shows as applicable to the territoryMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending manufacturer trainingKeeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.Spend at least three-four days per week out of the office calling on customers and working in classroomslabs.Service after the sale, including assisting with initial install. Additionally, working alongside the service team to accommodate follow up customer service requestsSuccessfully meets and exceeds sales goals set forthFamiliar with Social Media Channels, primarily LinkedIn.
