Direct Hire Opportunity!We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Supervisor for a Lighting manufacturer company.Purpose: Supervises the daily activities of the Metal side of the shop regarding supervision of our metal fab, laser, brake, and powder coating dept.Primary responsibilities:Production of metal products to ensure sufficient inventory to meet demand and stocking quantities.Daily Metal Assembly crew supervision, training, and mentoringResponsible for maintaining the accuracy of the department inventory system within 1%Use Requisition System to communicate inventory needs to the Purchasing DepartmentServes as supervisor for SMT and through hole electronics and manufacturing processes.Constant process improvement to lower production costsManagement and measurement of EA qualityManagement of EA trainingMaintenance of capital equipment Maintenance of records and department infrastructureManagement Responsibilities Ensure that all employees are properly trained and developed to CTI standards. Manage and direct daily workflow with proper utilization and efficiency of resources.Able to manage the flow of paperwork through the department accurately on time. Able to perform work and lead by example of CTI company culture. Participates in on-going continuous improvementmanagement training. Responsible for planning and prioritizing production and managing the daily activities of the workforce. Ensures priorities are met and jobs are completed on time, on budget, and of the highest quality. Organizes and prioritizes daily workload for employees. Requests more resources when required.Ensures all products produced in the department are built to standards and specifications. Communicates identifiable problems to management when they arise. Maintains and oversees quality procedures and practices.Manages preventive and periodic maintenance on all Metal machinery, tools, and test equipment. Ensure all spare parts and maintenance materials are in stock. Develops and implements preventive and periodic maintenance procedures and schedules. Responsible for tracking maintenance of all the equipment and machinery Maintains assembly department capital equipment log.Enters serial numbers and maintains manufacturing records.Continuously develops new skills and knowledge to support and enhance electronics manufacturing.Participates in the recruitment and hiring of employees and assists in the interview process as needed.Develops and administers employee training programs.Trains the workforce in the use of machines, equipment, tools, fixtures, and proceduresMaintains & updates training records for department.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of company policiesKnowledge of production procedures and processesKnowledge of department equipmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsEffective motivation and leadership skillsAble to interpret and follow assembly drawings or schematics and wiring diagrams.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Reliable knowledge of and ability to apply good electrical safety practices.Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.Education and Experience:High school diploma or its equivalent, 4-6 years of metal fabrication experience, and 2-4 years of supervisory experienceJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
