Overview: The Physical Therapist - Residency Site Coordinator will be responsible for the successful coordination and delivery of the sports and/or orthopedic residency program in a local geography. This is an advanced career path Physical Therapist that partners across functional teams to elevate the practice standards of the local geography. Responsibilities: Residency Specific Responsibilities• Participate in the recruitment and interviewing of residency candidates.• Assist in regular reporting to maintain residency credentialing.• Conduct mentoring and mentor observation and evaluation.• Facilitate specialty observation with physicians and specialty providers.• Provide didactic and lab instruction and recruit and schedule other instructors to conduct didactic and lab sessions.Clinical Responsibilities and Expectations• Performs evaluations and establishes a goal-based plan of care• Implements regular objective reassessment points to track progress towards goal achievement and/or adjusts goals based on patients' recovery trajectory• Establishes care plans aligned to ATI Best Practice guidelines, to achieve predictable and positive outcomes• Manages his/her Caseload effectively, across the spectrum of each patient's plan of care• Effectively delegates treatment among the clinical care team• Meets or exceeds established performance expectations, including patient outcomes collection targets, scheduling practices, productivity, caseloads management, and documentation compliance• Communicates effectively and regularly with referral sources and other relevant stakeholders in a patient's plan of care (e.g., physician, family members/ caregivers, case manager, attorney, etc)• Assists with daily clinic operational needs and tasks Qualifications: Minimum EducationRequired:• Doctorate (DPT) or Clinical BS or MS in physical therapy with five years of clinical experiencePreferred:• Minimum ExperienceRequired:• Must have served as instructor in entry level or post professional physical therapist education• 5+ years' experience as a licensed PT in an outpatient settingPreferred:• Prior service as a residency director (OCS or SCS) or site coordinator roleKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Strong cross-stakeholder partnership and collaboration skills• Advanced presentation skills• Persuasive and influential, a champion for clinical advancement• Establishes self as leader for the patient care team• Engaged, positive energy in work approach, serving as a valued team member for the clinic and district• Designs and structures treatment plans to enable best possible patient outcomes, leveraging tools, resources and care team personnel effectively• Delegates care amongst the care-team effectively based on case complexity classification to enable all members of the care team to practice at the top of their license• Ability to effectively manage a care episode across a caseload of patients• Ability to set objective and achievable goals• Ability to adjust treatment plans based on patient outcomes data and measurable progress• Demonstrates best practices with patient schedule management• Strong communication skills, written and verbal• Team player across the clinic and district• Flexible and adaptable to appropriately service patient needs and contribute to positive experience and outcomes• Completes work tasks in a timely and accurate manner• Operates with integrity - ensures work contributes positively to ATI's standards and practices, all within Compliance guidelinesLicenses and CertificationsRequired:• Must hold board clinical certification (OCS, SCS)• Licensed physical therapist in the state where they are servingPreferred:• FAAOMPT credential for Orthopedic residency sites• Athletic Trainer for Sports residency sites Virtual Employee?: No
