Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Software Programmer 4 (Business Objects Developer). This position will be located in Washington, D.C. and will have a hybrid remote schedule (3 days on site, 2 days at home). Responsibilities: Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum meetings, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and other Agile activitiesEstimate Level of Effort (LOE) for backlog itemsDemonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to project schedulesPerform data analysis and data profiling against source systems and data warehouseDefine and prepare solutions for O&M changes to existing reports and universes and deployment of new reports and universesExtensively use back end functions, procedures, tables, views required by the business objects universes, used BO functionality like Queries, Slice and Dice, Drill down, @Function, Variables, Breaks, Sorting, alerter, applying of filters, Formulae etc.Test solutions to validate whether requirements have been met; develop unit test plans, unit test scripts, and test conditions based on the business and system requirementsCoordinate and demo prototype reviews and validate that solutions meet requirements and review/fine tune report deliverables; collaborate with Client Subject Matter Experts (SME)'s to develop and implement the solution and assist with deployment activitiesPrepare training manuals and support to business users to promote understanding of Business Intelligence 4.2 environment and usage of Business Intelligence 4.2 Web Intelligence reports, and BI Launch pad tools and featuresConduct performance tuning for Universes and ReportsAssist the team with troubleshooting problems and developing recommendations/solutionsUpdate/Maintain Business Objects UniversesUpdate/Maintain Business Objects Universe design specification documentationAssist business analysts and testers during system testing as necessary Qualifications: Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience) preferred majors and minors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Management and Technology Required Skills and Experience 8+ years of experience designing complex BI 4.2 Universes8+ years of experience creating advanced complex reports in BI 4.2Proven experience with Business Objects Universe Design Tool (UDT)Proven experience with Business Objects Information Design Tool (IDT)Proven experience converting Universes from UDT to IDTTableau experienceAbility to apply strong technical knowledge of features and functions of Business intelligence toolsStrong SQL data analysis skillsExcellent understanding of the software development life cyclePossess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsMust have excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work hybrid schedule as outlined aboveClearance required:  Ability to obtain/maintain an AOUSC Public Trust Preferred Skills and ExperienceETL/Tableau experience high desiredProven experience with Business Objects Information Design Tool (IDT)Proven experience converting Universes from UDT to IDTAbility to apply strong technical knowledge of features and functions of Business intelligence toolsStrong SQL data analysis skillsExcellent understanding of the software development life cyclePossess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsMust have excellent written and oral communication skills Company Overview: GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors. Posted Salary Range: USD $125,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
