Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. The facility focus's on patient specialties, such as neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, heat failure, spinal cord injuries, and joint replacements. The facility is specifically designed for the needs of our patients and is set in an environment designed to promote peaceful recoverAbout Rehab and Nursing Center-LeffingwellThe Rehab and Nursing Center - Leffingwell was designed with healing in mind. The center offers 80 private rooms, each with an accessible bathroom, comfortable seating for guests, a large screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi and beautiful nature views. In addition to a dedicated interdisciplinary team, physical, occupational, recreation and speech therapists will provide patients with a customized therapy program designed to meet individual rehabilitation needs. Our expert team of therapists will use the latest technology and techniques to maximize independence and mobility to help prepare patients to return home. Amenities include: 5,500 sq ft gym Private dining area Three courtyards Beauty salon All private patient rooms with bathroom, including shower Four common lounge areas with activity roomsScope of work Registered Nurse (RN)Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Under the direction of the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Informs patients and families about treatments and medications being received, equipment being utilized, and other related activities as appropriate, in coordination with the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician.
