We are currently seeking qualified applicants in or near Detroit MI, Boston MA and Chicago IL to provide Project Management Services related to electric utility engineering projects. Ideal candidates will be located near one of these listed areas, in order to be able to provide local support to our project teams.The Project Manager will be part of an established Project Management Office within our Power Delivery Solutions division that provides consulting services to public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities for comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission, substation, and distribution projects nationwide.  Primary ResponsibilitiesIndependently lead project teams to complete engineering design of various sized electric infrastructure projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities located throughout the Southeastern United StatesAccept responsibility for overall project performance and reportingManage project costs, schedule and scope, including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limitsEnsure contract complianceDrive work products by coordinating and working with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverablesEnsure and document adherence to the quality control processInterface directly with the client and internal management to solve issues and report progress, costs, schedule adherence and risks across a program of projectsCommunicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnelAssist with the preparation of bid documents, development of cost estimates and responses to Requests For ProposalComplete monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed time framesIdentify business development opportunitiesThis role is intended to be hyrbid in nature, so ideal candidates will be able to work out of our office a portion of the timeQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is requiredA minimum of four (4) + years of relevant Project Management experienceFamiliarity with the electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery servicesMust have the capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on project tasksMust have the capability to understand, plan, monitor and report project financial performanceStrong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectivelyExperience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, P6)Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), advanced use of Excel preferredPeriodic travel may be required; Candidates should possess a valid US driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:PMP Certification is preferred but not required; Ideal Candidates will have a desire to obtain PMP Certification within two yearsDirect experience with electric power infrastructure projectsDemonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting businessWe pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
