Duties/Responsibilities: Perform reverse engineering of machinery parts using hand measuring tools. Ensure the technical documentation has been properly recorded as a result of measuring inspection. Use the 3D scanner to scan the parts and capture the external geometry. For internal geometry work with the fab team to section the parts followed by scan. Develop 3D Creo models and create manufacturing 2D drawings as per the industry and company standards by leveraging the scanned models and hand measurement results. Ensure the technical accuracy of drawings and written shop instructions. Submit drawings to the appropriate Checker/Engineer for approval. Work with the Metallurgical lab suppliers to retrieve the material composition, durability, weldments report for each part. Work with the internal team to develop a report on Should costing. Education/Experience Required associate degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Automotive or any relevant technical field. Bachelor's in mechanical/industrial is desired. 3-5 years of relevant experience with 3D scanning hand measurements tools. Required Skills: Knowledge and understanding of Powertrain, structural and hydraulic components. Experience with mechanical drafting, creating models with complex geometry, assemblies and associated drawings needed for manufacturing. Experience in handling and using advanced 3D scanners with atleast more than 100 parts from sizing between 10 CM to 4 Meters long. Experience working with the Metallurgical lab & reports and should costing team. Experience in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and/or 3D CAD-based programs. Possess a drafting degree / certification (preferable mechanical drafting) Familiarization with GD&T applications for better manufacturability. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer due dates. Strong computer, written, and oral skills.
