Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.Responsibilities Provide imaging and patient care services.Position patients and selects exposure factors accurately.Implement radiation protection and safety standards.Select appropriate scanning parameters for each exam.Obtain and utilize relevant patient data.Position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality,correct lead markers and patient data/history).Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storageareas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:One or more of the following required:Radiologic Technologist specializing in Bone Densitometry credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Technologist specializing in Bone Densitometry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.BLS Provider preferred.  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Education:• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences #SponsoredJobALBIRWhy Join Our Team Ascension St. Vincent's employs over 4,800 associates and has been serving Birmingham and surrounding communities for more than 122 years.
