To request a reasonable accommodation, notify Human Resources or the manager who oversees the position.Complete all work orders and preventative maintenance as assignedAbility to use and navigate through maintenance management programs (SAP, UpKeep, etc.)Demonstrate mechanical knowledge and aptitudeFollow proper safety guidelines including point of work risk assessment and lockout/tagoutTroubleshoot, repair and install parts on machines and equipmentAbility to work independently or in a team settingKnowledge and proper use of hand and power toolsPerform visual inspections and maintenance of production equipmentMay initiate purchase order for parts and machinesNotifies department manager of unusual situationsFollows safety and security rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly conditionFollows all good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and wear all required PPE in designated areasAttention to detail in all performed activitiesAdditional functionsIn addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform additional tasks as assignedJob QualificationsRequired QualificationsPost high school mechanical or building trades, or equivalent combination of education and work experience accepted;One (1) to three (3) years of experience in building trades and/or machine repairs, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.One (1) to three (3) years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment, conveyor systems, and automated equipment.Working ConditionsMaterial and Equipment Directly UsedGeneral warehouse equipmentGeneral office equipmentMS Office, Shipping and proprietary inventory management softwareWorking Environment/Physical Activities:Operate material handling equipment, machinery, and toolsLift and carry up to 75 pounds: continuous, moderate, or occasional heavy physical activitySitting or standing; continuous, moderate or occasional heavy physical activityUse of hands: Continuous, moderate or occasional heavy physical activityStoop, bend, or crawl: Occasional or frequent moderate physical activityClimbing steps and/or laddersStandingWalkingSittingIn general, the building's primary work area consists of pallet storage racking, roller storage and small item storage shelving.  The facility uses powered conveyor systems for the transportation of products. Pallet jacks and forklifts are used for palletized products.
