Description Leidos an opening for a part-time Healthcare Instructor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support training provided by the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, AL. Instructor/SME will deliver emergency medical and healthcare facility disaster preparedness and response training to healthcare professionals through lecture and hands-on exercises. Instruction focuses on catastrophic events that result in mass casualty incidents and preparedness and response planning. The instructor is expected to maintain a knowledge base as a Subject Matter Expert in the assigned course content. The instructor is also expected to actively seek and participate in cross-training opportunities as well as present current incidents in evening lecture(s) to maximize instructor resources and the overall training experience for student responders. Instructors are expected to travel in support of position requirements and perform training duties as assigned.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain basic CDP instructor certification requirementsMaintain student accountability while conducting training deliveryProvide SME support for the development and modification of course material, as requiredCoordinate availability with the Scheduling department and course management teamAssist the course management team with the delivery of trainingDeliver training according to respective course plan of instruction or course management directionMaintain and manage files and documents as directed by course managementComply with instructor performance requirements and maintain instructor competenciesMonitor training environment for safety concerns/dangerous conditions while delivering trainingComply with applicable CDP and Leidos procedures and policiesOther duties as assignedBasic QualificationsM.D. or D.O. degree with a valid state license to practice medicineBoard Certified in Emergency MedicineMust have a minimum of 10 years of experience working within one or more emergency response disciplines supporting all-hazards incidence responseMust have all-hazards experience with man-made, natural disasters management, CBRNE incident response and management, mass causality incidents, civil disturbance response and management, hospital emergency operation, or incident commandMust have completed the ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 coursesMust have completed instructor training course (minimum of 32-hour), possess instructor teaching certification, post-secondary teaching experience, or teaching degreeMust have 3 years of current instructional experienceMust have working knowledge of federal response, NIMS, and ICSDue to Federal Contract Regulations, U.S. citizenship is required.Must have an accepted form of government-issued ID compliant with the Real ID ActMust submit to and obtain final suitability by successful completion of a pre-placement screening consisting of background check, financial institutions/credit bureau check, and disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act.Preferred QualificationsMember of the American College of Emergency PhysiciansBoard Certified in Emergency MedicineFaculty member of regionally accredited university or collegeActive member of a state or regional healthcare coalitionOriginal Posting Date:2024-02-23While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range -The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
