Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsCarefully checks each test requisition for validity, duplication, medical record number and proper charges Proficient with performing patient testing Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the following age groups: adolescents, adult and geriatric Maintains test equipment with proper cleaning and supplies Able to sue computer for scanning charges maintaining files Evaluates the performance of equipment Explains to the patient the procedure about to be performed and the purpose of the test; consistently relaxes the patient before a test to ensure proper results Maintains a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with physicians and their office staff Demonstrates good judgement in solving problem related to personnel or referring problems to the coordinator when necessary Consistently completes echo procedure in an adequate amount of time Achieves state goals related to job performance Educational attendance records reveal attendance at all required educational programs/in-services What qualifications you will need:Echocardiographer TechnicianHigh School Graduate / GEDBasic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateRapides Regional Medical Center is a 350+ bed hospital and ER in Alexandria, Louisiana.
