We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsRadiology Technologist Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist who will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment. You will perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Tech may include: You will possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic proceduresYou will obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicatedYou will select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicatedYou will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicatedYou will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeYou will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologistYou will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary suppliesQualifications: 2 year or Associated Degree (Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology)ARRT CertificationFlorida license to practice medical imaging1 year hospital based experience preferredCurrent American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
