Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In-Park Duties and Responsibilities Solve and handle Guest challenges with a "Can Do" attitude and efficient customer service. Interact with Guests on a one on one basis or in large groups and maintain professionalism. Communicate and enforce all rider requirements and restrictions. Must be able to deliver friendly and informative announcements to our Guests in small and large groups. Responsible for the proper and safe operation of rides and attractions. Respond to emergency situations in a professional and efficient manner with a teamwork approach. Maintain a clean work area to promote a safe working environment and help eliminate hazards. Maintain park cleanliness throughout the day and responsible for end of night cleaning tasks. Certification Requirements Must be able to achieve certification as a Special Facilities Lifeguard, paid training provided after hire. Responsible for maintaining all rescue skills at a "test-ready" level. Must be able to swim a minimum of 200 yards non-stop. Must be able to retrieve a 10lb. brick from a minimum 6 feet/maximum 10 feet of water. Must be able to tread water for 2 minutes without the use of hands or arms. Must be able to exit out of a pool without using a ladder. Team Member Expectations Complete a minimum of 4 hours of in-service training a month. Maintain proper grooming and uniform guidelines at all times. Follow and enforce all park policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner at all times. Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work well with others. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with Guest, other Team Members, and leadership. Ability to handle multiple projects, while paying close attention to details. Willing to perform Shallow Water Lifeguard and Water Attendant duties and responsibilities. Skills and Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old. Able to work a minimum of 30 hours per work, varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Attend all mandatory certification courses, in-service trainings, and meetings. Maintain all job requirements in all weather conditions including, but not limited to heat, cold, sun, rain, and wind. Willing to stand in and move through water for periods at water depths from 0 to 6 feet. Cannot have a fear of heights. Able to climb multiple levels of stairs throughout the day. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Stand and walk a minimum of 7-10 hours a day over various surfaces. Able to continuously kneel, use hand-eye coordination, maintain a minimum of 20/25 vision or have 20/25 corrected vision. Able to continuously pull, push, and hold tubes, rafts, and mats. Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. for a minimum of 25 feet over various surfaces.
