It allows new graduate nurses to obtain acute care nursing experience through an intensive internship program. Open positions will vary throughout the year, and positions will be offered based on needs of the hospital, but units that typically hire New Grad Nurse residents include:Medical Surgical, Orthopedics- Post-Surgical, Medical TelemetryOur upcoming New Grad Nurse Residency Cohorts begin on:June 3rd, 2024August 5th, 2024August 12th, 2024August 19th, 2024August 26th, 2024 $5,000 sign on bonus available for the following unitsMed TeleOrtho + Post SurgicalMed SurgPart 1: New Grad Residency Training - First 5-6 Weeks (depending on specialty):Instructor-led classroom trainingState-of-the-art simulation including comprehensive debriefsCertifications needed for each unitTraining on charting systemsPart 2: New Grad Nurse Residency Clinical Preceptorship - Next 6-8 Weeks (depending on specialty):Conducted at the hospitalYou will be assigned a one-on-one preceptor to train you and acclimate you to your roleRegular development meetings between the resident, their preceptor and their DirectorCustomized Coaching/Onboarding report for clinical preceptorshipPart 3: HCA Residency Program - Remainder of your 1styearUpon successful completion of the New Grad Nurse Residency Program, residents will transition to their full-time roles at the hospital and continue professional development through routine interactions with a mentor (meet at least once a month)Requirements:Current Colorado RN license or Multi-state Compact RN license (not required until 6-7)Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, within past 1 yearBasic Life Support certificationSelf-motivated and strong communication skills requiredAttendance is imperative throughout the New Grad Nurse Residency Training programFor nearly 40 years, North Suburban Medical Center has served the north metro Denver community at its location in Thornton, Colorado with an unwavering dedication to quality and community.
