The unit's primary focus are post-operative and traumatic care for the surgical and trauma population with services aimed at stabilizing, detecting, and treating emergency conditions as well as monitoring their chronic conditions.Patient population includes pre/post op patients from many different disciplines including: General, Colorectal, Ortho, Neuro, Plastic, Urology and OMFS surgeriesTrauma patients commonly have multiple diagnoses which may include: multiple bone fractures secondary to MVA or Fall, gunshot wound, pneumothorax, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, concussion, assault, blunt trauma, stabbed woundEducation of the patient and family is a consistent theme and focus throughout all levels of care provided33-patient bed unitRN ratio of 4-5 patientClose relationship with Trauma surgeonCollaborate daily with Care Management team and PT/OTQualifications:Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited schoolLicense: Meets the criteria to be eligible for licensure in state of Missouri or currently licensed in the state of MissouriCertifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart AssociationFor more information please reach out to Georgie Trammell at Georgie.Trammell@
