HCP Talent is collaborating with a Long-Term Care/Rehabilitation (205 beds) in the Bronx, NY 10465 that is seeking a Wound Care/Infection Control Nurse for a Full-time M-F day shift (7a-3p) position.***Free Parking*** WCC/IFC Nurse Duties and Responsibilities: Attend wound rounds alongside the wound MD Expertly assess to all open wounds, encompassing changing, cleansing, and dressing. Thoroughly complete all necessary admission paperwork and meticulously document residents' care. Offer unwavering support and guidance to residents and their families. Diligently monitor resident's wound status and ensure initiation of essential medication or treatments. Strictly adhere to our rigorous infection-control policies, ensuring the safety of both residents and our dedicated team. Guarantee the delivery of top-quality care by upholding our facility's outlined standards and care protocols. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations. Serves as designated associate responsible for monitoring Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC Maintains a current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices Performs work within the scope of his/her license Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Must be knowledgeable of Infection Prevention and Control practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in the post-acute care facility Benefits: Competitive Compensation: up to $130K annually.
