Our client is looking for a skilled, high-potential Controller to help further optimize their manufacturing operation in Joplin, MO. This role reports directly to the CFO. There is great growth opportunity here, as we are actively working to increase revenue/output for this facility 60% in the near future. The parent company here has been driving multiple mergers and acquisitions, seeing significant sales growth, and is on the cusp of several senior and middle management individuals retiring in the near future. In light of these ambitious (but attainable) goals, the Controller needs to be someone who will dig down into issues and keep things improving over time - not just maintain a current state. This position is open now - we are looking to hire in the very near future, to get this role filled. Compensation for this position: $90-110k salary (open to discussion) Direct Hire: W2, Full-Time, Long Term Full Benefits including Health Insurance, 401k with match, optional HSA, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, PTO, Vacation Time We are very open to someone early in their career - at least 5 years comparable, full-time is experience expected at minimum though. A bachelor's degree is preferred, though extensive and proven work experience may be considered as a substitute. A Masters in business, finance, or other related field would be excellent. What this job looks like logistically: This facility currently has about: 150-250 Employees $20-30 million annual revenue As a Salaried, Office employee at this location, you can expect to work: 7-8 am daily start time, 4-5 pm end, 45-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday (no weekends) This is an In-office, onsite role - there are no standing WFH days BUT you are able to WFH when needed (personal appointment, sick kid, etc.)  The Responsibilities of the Controller will primarily include (but are not limited to) the following: Monthly Accounting: Manage, review, and publish financial reports and statements. Daily cash management. Supervise a small team (2-3 people) handling A/P and A/R, journal entries, monthly book keeping responsibilities Complete year-end filing requirements for various accounting needs 401k Y/E liaison with CPA. Perform month end close and report out on all financials Perform income and expense account review, explanations, and applicable journal entries. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliation and research for accounts. Responsible for Inventory Controls: Oversight of cycle counts Managing Standard costing Strategic contributions: Analyze business information to identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase profit Monitor and track monthly expenditures and capital spending to minimize overspending above planned and/or approved levels. Review operating results before closing to minimize errors. Ensure reports are complete, accurate and meet the key expectations of users. Additional: Ad hoc duties as assigned by CFO. Be a key Business Partner to Operations leadership. Any other objectives you can direct in order to maximize profitability. Safety Expectations Accountable for Protecting Company assets. Adhere to personal protection guidelines set forth by the company. Maintain a sense of orderliness, keeping materials, supplies, and equipment well organized and in good condition. Ensure the work area is clean and free from safety hazards.
