Commercial Electrical Service Department Manager   We are currently seeking a Department Manager to oversee our ever-expanding electrical service department. For over 30 years we have led the Northern California electrical industry and set the standard in commercial and industrial electrical service. Responsibilities : Overseeing day to day operations of the service technicians, office staff, and vehicle fleet, pricing and negotiating hard bid projects, monitoring and managing quality control, troubleshooting complex electrical issues including lighting control systems and onsite electrical distribution systems when needed, and provide support to technicians that require assistance. The successful candidate will also work with office staff to create scheduling efficiencies, ensure that material procurement meets implemented schedule, and follow up on invoicing and ensure prompt payment when terms are breached, host training sessions for technicians when new standards are implemented, and being a trusted partner to our extensive list of clienteles. Qualifications: ·        10 years in the commercial electrical industry. The ideal candidate will have experience both in the field and with electrical project management. ·        Experience with bidding, negotiating, and taking off commercial electrical projects. ·        Extensive knowledge of electrical materials and the National Electrical Code. ·        Be able to work in our Sacramento headquarters 5 days a week. Remote work is not available in this role. ·        Experienced in workforce management. ·        Have good leadership skills, the ability to multi task, and be able to make decisions quickly and confidently. ·        Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam PDF, and modern-day electrical estimating software. ·        Must have a positive attitude and successfully encourage subordinates to hold the same approach in their daily activities.   Physical Requirements: Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: Sitting, standing and walking (95-100%) Keyboarding (40-60%) Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone screen requiring close vision (95-100%)   Work Environment: Work is performed in a business office environment.
