Description Medical Intensive Care Unit "ICU"    A high acuity 15 bed unit mixed medical, surgical and cardiovascular ICU Majority of patients managed by Board Certified Intensivists 30% of nurses are CCRN certified Provides care for open heart patients who come directly from surgical suite to recover in ICU First community hospital in city to provide CRRT-Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy for patients too unstable to tolerate hemodialysis Also can provide care for patient requiring Intra Aortic Balloon Pump, Intracranial Pressure Monitoring, and hemodialysis in addition to aterial, CVP and Swan Ganz monitoring. Intensivist coverage 24/7 Shift Available: Full-Time Nights Sign On Bonus: $6,000 Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. ACLS/PALS may be required based on clinical area standards. Qualifications   Qualifications Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.     1 year RN experience preferred.     Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from accredited program preferred. Minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from accredited program.   License Requirements: Registered nurse with current license to practice in the State of Ohio. Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, or must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
