And, you can rest assured that your wellbeing and prosperity are our priority.Get to know us: About - Gesa Credit UnionRole Summary:Under the direction of the Regional Home Loan AVP, the Internal Home Loan Officer will assist members and team members with their mortgage lending needs. Analyze loan files and recommend credit decisions based on mortgage lending policy. Originate both first and second mortgage loans for the credit union's portfolio or for sale on the secondary market for existing members and for new members obtained through credit union's business development efforts. Maintain a professional image with all member interactions and must maintain confident critical member information.What You Will Be Doing:Support loan production as advised by manager.Maintain fixed office hours as set by manager.Ensure that all approved loans align with established loan standards and have zero errors.Complete special projects as advised by the manager.Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.Demonstrate a proven understanding of all mortgage products and rates, both within Credit Union and from the industry overall.Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.Interview members for residential mortgage loans, explain financing and mortgage programs and their requirements.Advise members of results of preliminary financial analysis.Calculate Loan Estimates.Supervise status of loans, process loan in a timely manner.Build positive relationships with members, real estate agents and members of the community to increase loan production.Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities.Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by supervisor. Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities.Display mutual respect, trust and dignity, acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times.Control risk and perform duties in a safe and sound manner.Maintain and protect all critical data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and integrity.
