If desired, you will have exposure to the various career paths available within the company, all while gaining marketable security and life safety experience.Although no previous security experience is required, we are looking for candidates that are self-motivated, customer focused, results-oriented, and who possess exceptional critical thinking, event management and oral and written communication skills.Specific onboarding and ongoing security training provided.Please note: Hiring for this position is contingent upon successful completion of a thorough background check, including criminal, credit and education history, work experience/references, and a drug screen.Quarterly rotation between days and nights Shifts are 12 hours 7am - 7pm 7pm -7am Weekly schedule is 48 hours one week, 36 the next The Expertise and Skills You BringPrior experience in a role requiring problem-solving and interpersonal skills Ability to deliver premium experiences when interacting with visitors, vendors, associates, and customers while assisting in the implementing/adherence of all company standards and policies Dedication to customer centricity and hospitality Ability to spend periods of time walking or standing at a fixed post Ability to perform first-responder rescue activities involved with medical, security or other life safety emergency situations Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR and basic physical security techniques/principles, or the ability to acquire such knowledge through provided training courses Demonstrate poise under stress and is comfortable advising others during a medical, security or other life safety related incident Basic computer proficiency Strong analytical skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Availability to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, or weekends) Some college preferred; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience a plus The TeamAt Fidelity, our greatest asset is our associates and as a Security Officer, you will play an important role in helping ensure the safety and security of Fidelity Investments' associates and facilities.
