Lead Technical Product Owner Location: anywhere in the US Contract to Hire, Long term Contract Job Description: Our clients new software platform is a set of cloud-native, federated systems that are highly scalable, accurate, and modular, leveraging both custom-built and 3rd party components. They are seeking a Lead Technical Product Owner to become a member of their growing Product Owner team within the Technology Department. This person will be an experienced leader that excels in a dynamic, fast-moving, agile environment and is passionate about developing high quality, scalable software. The position will focus on building and enhancing the products and data platforms that ensure accurate and efficient royalty payments to our clients members, international partners, and affiliates. It will require working closely with our business and engineering teams to grasp intricate financial and legal rules, operational workflows, and the technology systems supporting them. Industry experience in start-ups, publishing and recording rights is sought after. Succeeding in this role requires recognizing and prioritizing strategic opportunities to build data transparency and self-service products while contributing to the continuous evolution of our platform. The ideal candidate should deeply understand product ownership/product management, be skilled at identifying business and end-user needs, have technical expertise, and a proven leadership track record in product development. Additionally, they will mentor and supervise multiple Technical Product Owners (TPOs) and other resources in our department. Essential Functions Set product/platform priorities for multiple product teams, aligning them with business priorities and the strategic vision. Deepen teams understanding of accounting and operational workflows, business rules, and platform scalability and limitations. Translate business priorities into a roadmap for product/platform features for multiple teams. Follow product development, discovery and delivery processes and practices to deliver high quality of product/platform features. Manage cross-product risks and interdependencies. Facilitate cross-collaboration among product, engineering, and business teams. Establish and monitor metrics for product roadmap and delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Coach multiple Technical Product Owners, Business Analysts and Scrum Masters on delivery and discovery best practices. Identify and/or support key solutions for new business solutions and work to productionalize features and new products Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs) Ability to solve complex problems with many constraints, using good judgment to assess risks and opportunities Effective communication and influencing skills with both business and engineering partners, including the ability to present well-structured, data-supported arguments Top of Form Bottom of Form Experience using modern methods for product strategy, continuous discovery, and delivery Ability to successfully collaborate with engineers, designers, and company leaders Expertise in Scrum and Agile software development within a product environment Adaptability to learn various business functional areas such as engineering, operations, customer service, or finance Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 7+ years specifically working on technology-powered products as Technical Product Owner or Product Manager Hands-on experience leading the design, development, deployment, and iteration of internal facing and/or B2C products Experience in the music and/or fintech industry is highly desirable Strong data experience Experience working with products hosted in AWS Media Rights management product experience Strong writing ability Strong business acumen Experience with Agile software development Experience working cross-functionally in a large organization Experience working closely with senior leadership Experience translating data into quantifiable actions/deliverables ConsultNet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
