This position is responsible for planning and organizing production activities in order to meet on-time delivery and productivity targets. The Coordinator ensures optimal use of resources (people and equipment) in order to meet customer ship dates, without sacrificing safety or quality.SHIFT: MONDAY-330PM-100AM $20.00 AN HOUR. Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour Duties: Continuously monitors the operation to ensure that employees adhere to safe work practices and to ensure that there are no hazards in the workplace.Ensures proper PPE and compliance with safety policiesMonitors 5S at work stationsMaintains authority to stop and report to a supervisor any activity that is deemed unsafe or that may pose risk of injury to any employeeReports equipment and facility maintenance needs to a supervisorDirects the hourly workforce to ensure that targets are met for safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and throughput and manages shift hand off.Takes daily attendanceAudit machines and set up carts for complete toolingAssures adequate supplies at all work stationsComplete daily coordinator shift reportMakes decisions to drive production and meet performance metrics:Maintains the proper flow of work on the production floor, from warehouse, through production, to shipping by assigning and distributing work based on playbookDetermines appropriate machine for each work orderAssigns employees to task (hitters, packers, runners, etc.)Collects 2 hour metrics and update playbook fileEnsures quality assurance.Approves first articlesInspects and confirms extra care ordersConducts routine quality audits during the shiftMaintains authority to stop and report to a supervisor any quality issue that may arise during productionCoaches employees on performance.Monitors hour-by-hour performance and determines training needsConducts daily shift meeting to share informationHolds employees accountable for complying with policies. Position Requirements: Solicits continuous improvement ideas and supports implementation of continuous improvement plan. Order service desk requests for shortages and misprints. Determine root cause of DNS (DidNotShip) and misprints, and takes appropriate action Orders inks, fixtures, screen re-burns, etc. Investigates customer returns End of shift shut-down (Lock exterior doors, lights/air compressor, set alarm) Other duties as assigned.Must be able to prioritize and track multiple workflows/ordersBasic Excel, Word and Outlook skillsAbility to handle multiple task and prioritiesExcellent organizational and problem solving skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentDetail oriented, self-starter, able to work independentlyDemonstrated ability to communicate, motivate, and gain respect of production employeesSafety: OSHA recordable accidents and lost time due to accidentsQuality: 1) RCMs; 2)Misprints (quantity and reasons)On time delivery: DNS (Did Not Ships); Early NotificationsProductivity: 1) hits per person-hour; 2) Indirect Hours as measured by hits per indirect person-hour; 3) overtime hours worked as % of straight time hours worked Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 50 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
