AI/ML Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting a Federal Government customer in Rosslyn, VA.The candidate must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance - US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years. Must have resided in the US for the last 5 yearsThis position will allow for remote work throughout the US, however it is preferred that the selected individual lives within driving distance of Arlington VA so that they are able to come into the office if needed.Responsibilities:Technical understanding of the current AI offerings within Azure and how to integrate those services with existing or in-development solutionsIdentify opportunities to leverage and integrate OpenAI/ML technologies and capabilities into USPS OIG processes, products, or servicesDesign, develop, evaluate, test, maintain, and monitor Azure AI/ML software programs and applicationsWork alongside solution architects during design sessions, pilots/POCs leveraging Azure AI Services and Azure OpenAI ServicesSupport internal customers with Speech, Computer Vision, Text, Search, Azure Open AI so they can build their own AI products in the futureAdhere to USPS OIG policies by identifying and mitigating safety and security considerations (bias, data privacy, etc.) when delivering or integrating technology or products that use or apply AI/MLCollaborate with technical and business teams to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with technical and non-technical team membersDevelops and submits change requests and track work to completionProduce process documentation in order to outline challenges, missteps and successes and refine processes going forwardUsing modern approaches for product and services delivery in an iterative and Agile mannerSkills & Qualifications:Experience:Three plus (3+) years of experience with data and analysis through use of predictive tools and automationThree plus (3+) years of experience in designing and developing AI software and system integration experiencePrimary Requirements:Microsoft Azure AI experience is a strong factor in a candidate consideration and candidates should highlight relevant experience in their resume.Experience with Cognitive Services, Search and Azure Open AI modelsExperience designing and implementing solutions in AzureAttention to detail and creating clarity when dealing with ambiguityAbility to work cross functionally in a constantly evolving and rapidly changing work environmentExcellent problem solving and analytical skills.Strong knowledge of AI algorithms, techniques and technologies.Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, C++, Java, etc.Secondary Requirements:Experience in an Agile environment working with tools such as MS DevOpsSelf-starter who can quickly acclimate to a dynamic environmentStrong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing requirementsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExperience working in a government context or with government customersFor more information or to view other opportunities, visit us .
