Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Leonardo DRS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leonardo S.p.A.  For additional information on DRS, please visit our website at Job ID: 108649 The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 3 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.   Job Summary Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a Full Time Senior Subcontracts Administrator in Bridgeton, MO.  This position will support the program team by managing major suppliers costs, schedules, and performance on various programs.  They will also ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Job Responsibilities Conduct proposal preparation, subcontract negotiation, and administration of complex subcontractsDevelop subcontract specifications, requirements, statements of work, and terms and conditions for the procurement of materials, equipment and services in support of multiple contract types.Provide strategy and recommendations to internal staff and subcontractors on procurement issuesSelect or recommend subcontractorsEvaluate proposals and monitor company performance on subcontract obligations.Prepare contractual documents, including the preparation of subcontract terms and conditions, and assemble subcontract documentation packageCoordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontractsNegotiate and administer agreements between the company/customers/subcontractors/vendors ensuring adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirementsMonitor subcontract performance on government contractsRespond to standard inquiries regarding subcontract obligations and revisionsSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend DRS' mission, values and cultureMaintain effective internal and external customer relationsPerform special projects as requestedTrain internal staff on subcontract-related topicsLead and/or mentor team of subcontract administrators Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related discipline with 5+ years of related experienceKnowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)Basic understanding of contract/purchase order terms and conditions and detailed knowledge of the government contracting process including sole source and competitive procurementsKnowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.) and their proper useKnowledge of source selection/evaluation process including cost and price analysisKnowledge of requirements for administration of government propertyKnowledge of government subcontract administration duties including subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retentionKnowledge of proper drafting, negotiation and use of subcontracts, POs, teaming and other forms of agreementsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic understanding of subcontract/agreement briefings, negotiation and reviewBasic knowledge of monitoring contracts/subcontractsGeneral computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office programsTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
