The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing technical support of DRS Land Systems products through prototyping, testing, fielding, and follow on support stages of various programs to internal and external customers.  The selected candidate must be able and willing to travel/deploy to CONUS and OCONUS internal and external customer locations 50-75% of the time. Job Responsibilities Responsible for providing routine technical support for maintenance, repairs, modification, equipment setup and testingTroubleshoot and determine equipment issues by utilizing drawings and technical documentationConduct repairs and/or modifications using a variety of hand tools and test equipmentAssist in demonstrating setup and adjustment of complex equipment for potential users or operatorsComplete appropriate written documentation and feedback for onsite service and installationsDeliver technical solutions to customers with a high degree of professionalismMay provide formal/informal training of customer personnelIdentify, analyze, and repair product failures, orders and replaces parts as neededMay recommend which products or services best fit the customers needsDemonstrate great customer service skillsWork variable shifts and up to 12-hour shifts to perform necessary testingExhibit mature, independent judgment and communicates effectivelyEmployees must be able to maintain and adhere to the customer's on-site scheduling requirements with no more than 5 unplanned absences during any rolling 12-month period.Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Qualifications High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of work experienceMust have an entry level understanding of one or multiple technical competencies (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)Must be able and willing to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations (Deployed 50-75% of the time)Fundamental understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and configuration files, a plus.Proficient in the use of a laptop computers, mobile devices, and related softwareMust be able and willing to travelMust have or be eligible to obtain U.S. passportU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance requiredComputer proficiency with MS Office application experience, including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint; detailed understanding and use of database technologies helpfulTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
