Durango Animal Hospital is hiring for their next Veterinary Technician Team Lead.Are you an experienced veterinary technician with prior supervisory and training experience? Are you detailed oriented, tenacious, and patient with superb communication skills, enjoys having fun at work and is seeking work/life balance? If so, we may be what you are looking for.Qualified candidate will need to have solid technical skills that includes, but is not limited to, phlebotomy, anesthesia, proper animal restraint, hospitalized animal care, catherization, x-ray, dentistry, and vaccine administration. Responsibilities also includes onboarding new Doctors and training new Veterinary Technicians and Assistants. Team Lead will also work closely with management and veterinarians to create, implement, and maintain new ideas and protocols, meet with vendors, maintain inventory , create technician schedules, and support the technician team on a continual basis in a positive and professional manner.We offer Health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, and 401k with match.
