The position provides exposure to personnel throughout the organization, as well as various processes that support our operations. This role offers a hybrid remote work benefit and provides opportunity to travel. Responsibilities This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for:Inventory accountingPerform business process controls related to inventory accounting and physical inventory, ensuring accurate valuation and proper accounting for inventory costs in accordance with IFRSCoordinate, observe, and document year-end physical inventory countsCalculate reserve for obsolete inventory and analyze write-offsReconcile the balance in the inventory detail to the general ledgerFixed asset accountingRecord fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in the accounting system and calculate depreciation for all fixed assets, and track completion of work in processConduct periodic existence verification tests and impairment reviews Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizationsReconcile the balance in the fixed asset register to the general ledgerConduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by operationsCorporate accountingPrepare audit schedules and provide support and justification for audit inquiriesEnsure financial results are in accordance with IFRS and internal policies and proceduresPrepare accounting period-end entries and maintain the accounting records in accordance with policies and controls including preparation of monthly reporting schedulesOther ad hoc inquiries as they arise Qualifications Qualifications and Experience for the position:Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing one to communicate with colleagues of all levelsSelf-motivated mentality and the ability to work independently with guidance from manager when neededAbility to prioritize tasks in an ever-changing environment and successfully meet deadlinesStrong Excel skills including experience with formulas (VLOOKUP) and pivot tablesExperience with IFRS, application of accounting policies and account reconciliationsTwo to four years related experience in accounting - inventory, fixed asset or construction experience preferredBachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)Keller is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
