You will actively contribute to the development of plans, seamlessly integrating goals into the operational framework. Your hands-on approach will ensure the effective implementation of these plans, with meticulous monitoring for successful realization. You will lead the development and implementation of an Information Technology-based audit program wherein your interactions with campus technologists will be crucial for program success.You will lead the formulation of comprehensive long-range and annual audit plans, utilizing established risk assessment methodologies. Your expertise will guide discretionary audits, optimize timing, manage staff allocation, and efficiently address reactive assignments, all while overseeing an exceptional team of 20-25 employees. You will measure, appraise, and document the team's performance based on established departmental standards as well as oversee the general scheduling of audit assignments, approving purpose, scope, objectives, time budget, and procedures for activities in the assigned area. How you will be spending your time: 40% Administration for the Department of Audit and Advisory Services 30% Team Management 20% Client Operations and Management10% Professional DevelopmentQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Minimum of 10 years of internal audit experience.Must hold an active professional certification as a CPA or CIA and other certifications such as CA, CFE, CISA, CFSA, CGFM. Demonstrated expertise in and technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards, laws and regulations, best practices related to audits and operations of universities.Internal Audit management experience in the areas of financial management, fraud, waste and abuse, funded research, business practices, electronic data processing and health care.Ability to identify risks associated with an operation or activity and establish objectives and make recommendations for appropriate audit coverage.Ability to develop program objectives for audit coverage relevant to meet risk factors and managements needs, to evaluate performance and assist management in implementing corrective action.Ability to establish standards of performance to ensure effective use of audit resources. Effective interpersonal relationships with auditors and management at all levels.
