JOB SUMMARY: Performs the function of security, observes and reports safety and security hazards for FHCP premises and assists personnel, visitors, members and patients whenever needed. Report issues discovered to the Security Supervisor as needed. Security staff is not to interfere with the duties of staff in other departments, unless a request is made for assistance. QUALIFICATIONS: Education, skills and experience: • High School diploma or equivalency. • Must be able to obtain a State of Florida Class D Security Officer License within 90 days of hire date. • Ability to communicate in person or on the phone with clarity while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor required. • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques. • Must be able to ascend and descend stairways; foot patrol buildings and grounds. • Two years’ experience and/or education in security related field preferred. • Must be able to adapt to changing work situations while maintaining efficiency. • Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
