Penco Products is America's leading supplier of lockers and shelving. POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in operational oversight and distribution, inventory management and related operations for Quick Ship Warehouse. Responsible for maintaining safe work environments at facility. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + When Warehouse Manager is not onsite, Warehouse Supervisor will assume his/her duties. + Assist in managing team of 4-8 employees. + Position is working role; daily warehouse tasks will be assigned to Warehouse Supervisor. + Assists Customer Service, Sales, Procurement and Research and Development with transportation needs and logistics knowledge for feasibility and to minimize cost. + Complete Analysis of Claims originating at the warehouse level. + Assist Management in filing freight claims to recoup cost associated with lost or damaged merchandise. + Analyzes freight data to maximize efficiencies, resources, costs, and strategies. + Communicate with overseas freight carriers on container deliveries. + Communicate with customers informing them about delivery and helping answer any questions or concerns. + Work with Sales to establish replenishment needs and special requests. + Work with Sales regarding information about warehouse and shipping availability and accommodations. + Responsible for inventory level for the warehouse. + Distributes orders to warehouse personnel and monitors their progress to ensure on-time deliveries. + Monitors the loading and unloading of material from trucks + Responds to emails and requests for information from all company departments; communicate with Customer Service regarding customer and order issues. + Perform data entry to update order shipments. + Supervises product quality control prior to shipping. + Other Duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Must have an Associate’s Degree or five (5) years of relevant import/export, warehouse, terminal, barge logistics procurement experience including operations management, planning, logistics, and procurement; and/or training; or equivalent combination for education and experience Third Party Logistics (3PL) or transportation carrier experience preferred but not required Physical Requirements Must be able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles and heat. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
