AFT has an immediate need for a qualified Fire Alarm Service Technician. Job Requirements: Perform fire alarm and special hazard suppression inspections. Experience with Water Mist, High & Low Pressure Carbon Dioxide systems not necessary but considered a plus. Provide emergency service to investigate and diagnose alarm and trouble conditions to determine cause and take corrective action in order to bring system back to a normal and armed condition. Required Skills: + Experience in industrial, heavy commercial or oil and gas construction settings required. + Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance. + Knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, fire alarm systems and equipment. + Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers installation manuals to complete assigned projects. + Experience to inspect and test components of electrical and fire alarm systems. + Applicants must have working knowledge of safety requirements for these environments. + Must be proficient in working with rigid conduit raceways, inside and outside environments. Other: + MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL: This position is 90% travel in the power generation industry. Relocation is NOT required. + Job Type: Full-time. + Normal work schedule is 50 hour work weeks. + Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. + Must have a valid driver?s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
