Responsibilities: + Evaluate regulatory requirements for semiconductor assembly equipment concepts and designs; provide guidance to project team and management regarding safety and related regulatory requirements, testing (in-house and with 3rd party) and apply best engineering practices to achieve compliance. + Coordinate, perform and document Safety Risk Assessments to prevailing safety standards and provide corrective action feedback to design engineers and project managers. + Perform pre-compliance EMC testing on representative products. + Investigate/troubleshoot non-compliances and implement/document changes as needed prior to formal 3rd party certification testing. + Manage certification schedules with 3rd party auditors and internal development teams. + Coordinate product safety and EMC certification testing of company products targeted for domestic and international markets. + Prepare and submit product Technical Construction Files to auditors. Requirements + Knowledgeable in EU Directives and applicable local and international safety standards (CE, UL, CSA, IEC, SEMI, NFPA, CCC, etc.), and regulations (RoHS, REACH, FDA, etc.). + Proficient in EMC requirements for Industrial Equipment: test standards and procedures, troubleshooting and use of EMC test equipment + Has shown ability to successfully manage multiple projects with cross-functional, multi-national development teams in a dynamic product development environment. + Knowledge of EU CE Machinery, Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives and related IEC, ISO and EN standards. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment or related industrial equipment regulatory requirements (CE and SEMI). Knowledge of Green Initiatives (RoHS, REACH, China RoHS, etc.) will be an advantage. + Bachelor of Science/Master preferred, in Electrical Engineering or Technical Discipline with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Kulicke & Soffa is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
