We specialize in the preventive maintenance and service of commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration. This position is to be located in Big Spring, TX, but will have responsibility for all the Permian Basin. The Permian Basin is thriving and Cary Services is thriving as well. Job Description: Redeem operating unit gross profit objectives through and with subordinate organization while meeting contractual commitments to our customers in a timely, high quality manner. What does this mean? Well, it means to manage and perform the day to day operation of our maintenance and service in such a way that our customers are satisfied AND we make a profit. Job Duties: · Must be able to perform technical services at a high level and supervise and support other technicians. · Liaison between the company and client as well as between the technicians and the company. · Develop new business relationships, uncover and secure future project opportunities. · Provide accurate project and work order invoicing. · Direct our Service Technicians with ongoing maintenance, service and project requirements. This includes parts ordering and inventory management. · Understand timing of the work and how it relates to others. Direct and monitor subordinates in development, communication and redemption of schedules. Resolve schedule conflicts as required. Monitor project schedules to assure timely completion of work. · Understand purchase requirements. Direct and monitor subordinates in the preparation of requisitions in a timely manner for materials, equipment, subcontracts. Secures cooperation of sales personnel as required. · Delegate, organize work of others by job description and procedures; get subordinates to agree on objectives. Effectively audit performance of subordinates and follow up. Recommend appropriate personnel actions (i.e., hiring, firing. promotions, demotions, compensations, etc.) · Establish guidelines to determine crew size and monitor the same. Recommends additions and deletions based on annual operating plan and performance against still safety into the minds of all employees through regular training and communication Job Requirements: To be qualified, all applicants should have: · 5 + years HVAC/ Refrigeration experience and some management experience. · Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record. · Able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug testing. Will also need to be cleared for access for a major customer's facilities. · Experience in the commercial / industrial HVAC field. Refrigeration and ice machine experience is preferred. · Understand mechanical systems, appropriate codes and industry standards. · Understand the proper installation, and service techniques on the automation systems we are performing work on. · Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. · Trade school education is preferred.Must be able to type and have knowledge of how to use a computer as well as smart phones. The ideal candidate will have: · Strong leadership skills with an inner desire for achievement and focus directly on the territory maintenance area. · Have a keen working knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Excel and related computer skills. · Knowledgeable use of peripheral devices (Scanners, printers, copiers, Etc.) · Knowledgeable use of mobile devices ( iPhone) · A knowledgeable understanding of HVAC and refrigeration components and how they work. · True leadership skills and the ability to direct others within our organization. · Ability to work face to face with the customer.
