We're ready to help you achieve more.Purpose:This position provides the design technology direction and support for various marketing programs across Athene. The primary responsibilities include planning and management of the creation, execution, distribution and inventory of marketing materials through relationships with design, digital, printing and fulfillment partners. The role requires multiple skillsets of graphic design, data management, and document automation. Technical proficiency within the Adobe Creative Suite is necessary to direct the graphic design team in the efficient implementation of modular design across all relevant collateral.The Manager will become highly proficient with the Paginator marketing automation platform and other design-oriented technologies, building a framework so that dynamic content can be applied across all touchpoints of the business. This will set the stage for Athene's future customization of messages at a granular level in print, digital, websites, e-mails, presentation decks and beyond.This position will report to the Athene Creative Director on the Creative Services team, and will manage at least three direct-reports on the design team.Accountabilities: Collaborate across Marketing and associated departments to provide quality sales and marketing materials with focus on speed to market, accuracy and efficiency. Continuously review and audit the current programs/software used to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective solutions affordable/available, and establish a growing list of best practices. Make recommendations and implement automated processes and procedures to reduce or supplant manual workloads. Provide accurate, timely reporting on all materials (print and digital) to meet both department and inter-departmental needs. Collaborate with the digital and print execution/fulfillment partner to provide timely, accurate, and cost-effective distribution of marketing materials by fulfillment partner. Collaborate with Marketing Collateral Librarian on version control and posting new and updated materials on corporate server (Widen). Provide leadership of technical needs and best practices for new and updated document designs. Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production. Ensure collaboration, alignment and approval on brand expression with the Creative Director on established categories of marketing collateral as determined by the departmental project management process. Effortlessly liaise between Project Managers, Product Owners, Graphic Designers and all Marketing colleagues involved in the review/approval process, as well as I/T department when applicable.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, or associated fields such as Computer Science, Design Management, or Creative Business Leadership.5-7 years experience in corporate marketing environment, printing company, advertising agency or similar workplace that creates a substantial inventory of marketing collateral. Detailed template standardization experience. Proficient with XML, especially as used for dynamic publishing Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including use of XML, GREPs, and Data Merge.Adobe InDesign Certification preferred. Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 4+ years of experience implementing, managing, and administering data or technology solutions Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and business users Self-starter; able to drive to execution with little to no direction Operates effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, adept at crisis management Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively Resourceful and results/solution oriented Analyzes business problems and influences recommendations for creative solutions. Facilitates, prioritizes, and proposes business process redesigns to maximize process results.
