WORK SCHEDULEMonday - Saturday 7:30 am to 12:00 pmJob SummaryThe Lead Parcel Generalist, under the direction of the Interstate Parcel Delivery Manager, performs and assists with operations oversight and the manual and technical processes of the parcel delivery operations performed at the mini-hub.Essential Functions & Responsibilities Participates in all the daily operations of the mini-hub operation. Account for parcels to be delivered and identify any missing parcels. Communicate daily expectations to each Independent Contract Carriers/Driver. Accurately distribute parcels to Independent Contract Carriers/Drivers. Ensure every route is covered. Immediately follow up with any team member that is tardy. Using automobile, deliver parcels and assist any workers on road as needed. Show routes to new Independent Contract Carriers/Drivers. Resolve missing parcels issues and delivery exceptions. Assist with contracting new Independent Contract Carriers or complete all necessary new hire documentation. Assist with demonstrating the Roadnet application to new Independent Contract Carriers and Drivers. Maintain strong knowledge of assigned territory. Perform other operational or reporting functions in the absence of the Interstate Parcel Delivery Manager. Performs warehouse and housekeeping work as necessary in compliance with safety guidelines Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEssential QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Good verbal and written communication skills. Must have knowledge of the Independent Contractor Agreement or contracts. Able to prioritize, manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and other programs as required to fulfill responsibilities. Able to meet and/or exceed the established customer service objectives. Must have access to a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license in the state where residing and automobile insurance at limits required by PCF. Able to work well under pressure and sometimes under adverse conditions. Able to skillfully use and operate electric or manual pallet jack. Able to stand on warehouse floor for long periods of time. Able to operate an automobile for extended periods of time. Able to complete route delivery, to include getting out of car for direct product placement, may also involve walking or climbing stairs.Working Environment Able to meet deadlines and attendance standards. Able to work weekends, early morning and daytime hours. Able to work in warehouse type environment. Able to function in adverse conditions.Experience, Education and Certifications RequiredExperience Required Requires a minimum of 1-2 years related work experience. Previous experience in parcel-related distribution preferred.Required Educational Level High School Diploma or equivalent.Other Certifications Material handling equipment certification a plus.
