These coordinators serve as team leaders and are responsible for mentoring employees and teaching relevant skills on an as-needed basis, and they also serve as lead managers when no other higher manager is present. Communication skills are important in this position to work well with employees, patients, and families of patients. Associates should be willing to work in response to a diaster/emergency need. Nurse coordinators should have general knowledge of medical software applications and business-oriented office software applications. They must be able to work independently and troubleshoot problems in effective ways. Coordinators must be able to multi-task, prioritize, work well under pressure, be detail oriented and have held prior experience in patient management. Candidates for this position must keep all licenses/certifications up-to-date and in compliance with all CHRISTUS Health policies and regulatory laws.Requirements:A. Education/Skills· Bachelor of Science Degree in NursingB. Experience· 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialtyC.
