Their mission is to revolutionize the world with groundbreaking products and technologies.They are on the lookout for driven engineers with a knack for robotics, particularly a Mechanical Engineering Manager with a proven track record in leading technical teams.Responsibilities:Oversee a team of Mechanical Design EngineersOrganize and document best practices and standard processesDevelop and implement new processes where requiredCollaborate with Lead Engineers to staff engineering design efforts and balance workloadsProvide technical direction and mentoring to employees on the teamAssist in building a world-class robotic design teamWork together with other departments (Electrical, Systems, Software, Production) to develop state-of-the-art robotic systemsSkills required:Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent5+ years of engineering management experience10+ years of experience in development of robotic systems, or similar (automotive, aerospace, etc.)Mastery of engineering fundamentals / first principlesStrong proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)Great team player able to perform within a dynamic start-up environmentExperience designing for multiple manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, 3D printing, Sheet Metal, Injection Molding, etc.Experience with GD&T for machined components, tolerance stack up analysis, and DFM/A AnalysisExperience with conducting finite element analysis and reporting resultsExperience with revision control systems and design revision processesExperience with failure analysis/root cause analysisBonus requirements (if you have great!)MaAsters in Electrical EngineeringStrong understanding of kinematics, structural design, and electromechanical actuationExperience standing up design processes and procedures in a fast-paced environmentExperience taking products from prototype to production Qualities:Active listener, excellent communicatorLead by exampleEncouraging, helpful, motivationalHighly organized, analytical, observantA passion for building thingsPerks:Competitive base salary w/ benefitsHighly motivating equity incentive packageHybrid work schedule (i.e. work from home in some capacity)Flexible work hours policyProfessional development opportunitiesFlexible Paid Time Off (PTO)401k plan
