What You Will Do Product Development: Design and develop electronic products from concept to production, leveraging expertise in electronics engineering principles and cutting-edge technologies. Schematic design of complex digital and analog circuits using Altium Designer. Utilize advanced simulation and modeling tools to evaluate and optimize electronic circuits, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability meet stringent quality standards. Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate product functionality, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as needed. Collaborate closely with internal and external cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and manufacturing, to help define project requirements, establish design specifications, and ensure alignment with overall objectives. Innovation: Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes, informing design decisions and driving innovation in product development. Stay abreast of advancements in electronic design methodologies, tools, and techniques, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance expertise and contribute to process improvements. Drive continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements and best practices, making engineering staff professional development recommendations, and making tools and equipment recommendations. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, excellence, and efficiency across the entire organization. Lend expertise to other projects with challenging problems and help get engineers "unstuck". Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronics product development, with a proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality electronic products. Demonstrated experience with embedded systems development, microcontrollers, FPGA, and PCB layout design. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, signal processing, and power electronics. Proficiency in relevant electronic design tools and software. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as FCC, CE, and UL, and experience in product certification and compliance testing. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven leadership abilities, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers to achieve successful project outcomes. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Professionalism representing AED when interacting with staff, vendors, clients, and the public. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Pass a comprehensive background check. Candidates must be able to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control and ITAR compliance laws, which require proof that the candidate is a U.S. person.
