Job Description:

The Building Engineer is responsible for all day-to-day maintenance and repairs for our corporate office building and grounds in Oak Brook, IL.All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.Essential Job Functions:Oversee maintenance, repairs, and replacements, for corporate office property.Monitor facilities software and building automation systems to provide a safe and comfortable workplace for employees and visitors.Perform administrative duties including requisitions, invoice processing, and vendor contract reviews. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time. Be on call 24/7/365 for emergency maintenance and repairs.Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair building systems and components, including, but not limited to; Interior and Exterior Lighting, Plumbing Systems, HVAC, Doors, Rainwater Recycle Systems, Electrical Systems. Self-perform maintenance and basic repairs to the greatest extent possible, minimizing usage of outside vendors.Spec and bid review.Manage building systems to maintain LEED certification.Oversee contractors and vendorsMinimum Qualifications:A minimum of five years related experience.Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent work experience.Thorough knowledge of MEP building systems.Verified mechanical aptitude.Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment.
