We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that enhance our manufacturing processes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.Apply now, read the job details by scrolling down Double check you have the necessary skills before sending an application.Responsibilities:Develop and implement automation solutions for production lines, including PLC programming, HMI design, and control system integration.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.Leads and assists technicians in troubleshooting large industrial power supplies, drives, motor controls and furnace components.Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.Conduct regular system performance evaluations and recommend enhancements.Participate in project planning, budgeting, and execution.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.Qualifications:BS degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.5+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing setting.In-depth knowledge Industrial Ethernet (ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP), DeviceNet, Motor Control, VFD Drives, Relays, and Sensors.Excellent Proficiency in ladder logic and various PLC programming languagesExperience with both Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC systems.I VFD Drives, Relays, and Sensors.Excellent proficiency in using hand and power tools, multimeters, and/or oscilloscopes for analysis, troubleshooting and system modification.Project management skillsAbility to develop, modify and troubleshoot control systems.Commitment to safety and continuous improvementOrganized and ability to problem-solve in an industrial environment.Enjoy being part of a team and working in a cooperative environment.Embrace Direct Wire's core values: Be a Great Person, Serve Your Customers Well, Do Great Work & Be a Great Teammate.As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance from day one, as well as disability and life insurance.
