Position SummaryMaking sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.Under general supervision, performs administrative functions of the project; follows established policies, procedures, and specific instructions. The primary duty of the position directly relates to the management or general business operations of the company or its customers in areas such as accounting, quality control, marketing, budgeting, and purchasing. The candidate is expected to exercise discretion and use independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.   ResponsibilitiesMaintains good communications and positive relationships between Owner, Architect, Consultants, Subcontractors and BHCI. Generating construction details as needed for means and methods of the work being performed.Processes and maintains all contractual changes, documents and payment estimates.Coordinates construction in compliance with government agencies, public utilities, unions, and project specific agreements.Assists Project Superintendents in preparing and updating the Construction Schedule.Responsible for tracking and ordering material.Prepares and processes subcontracts, change orders and payments. Reviews shop drawings and submittals for compliance with the plans and specifications and monitor Subcontractor material procurement.Reviews and evaluates Subcontractor. Verifies all purchases of permanent materials for conformance to specifications, quantity required. Processes change proposals and collects change orders.Ensures construction is in accordance with the latest contract documents and that any deviation, changes or omissions are properly documented.Updates and maintains material status reports, cost projections Requests for Information, Submittals, Revision Control, Change Proposal and Change Order Logs on a regular basis. Follows through with job start-up and close-out procedures/ reports.Maintains project records.Assists with and attends all subcontractor, safety, and owner/architect meetings.Ensures each subcontractor fulfills their contractual obligations to BHCI.Assists Project Superintendents in coordination with the various trade.Assists with management and tracking of small tools and field purchases.Attend company related events.Able to run project meetings.QualificationsMust have construction experience and/or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.Ability to prioritize and multi-task.Exceptional communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills for dealing with all levels of employees and outside. Working knowledge of personal computer applications. (MS word, MS Project, Excel, Bluebeam, CAD or Revit (preferred but not required)Able to produce details for certain aspect of work be performed/installed.Strong time management and organizational skills.Basic knowledge of construction processes, procedures, and materials.Valid driver's license, clean abstract.Eight (8) years construction experience.
