In addition to 11 paid holidays, 2 weeks vacations, 401K, etc.Considering making an application for this job Check all the details in this job description, and then click on Apply.Job PurposeResponsible for acting as a Welding Engineer to develop and improve Welding and Fabrication manufacturing processes.Job DutiesCreate job aids and work instructionsComplete Part & Process SPAP/PPAPCreate and maintain Routings / BOMSProcess Engineering ChangesCreate and maintain Control Plans / PFMEA / SFMEALN system use and training to usersValidate/support all quality gate auditsLead safety investigations and perform 1Page DMAIC processImplement various corporate initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Internal Certification, etc.Drives Root Cause identification and Continuous Improvement processEvaluate weld qualification samples per the applicable standard (AWS D1.1, AWS D15.1, CAT 1E specs)Create PQR's, WPS's, and WQTR'sQualifications2-year technical degree or equivalent manufacturing experience (4-year degree desired)4-5 years of welding experienceStrong knowledge of PC/data entryIntermediate level skills of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)Ability to comfortably present to team members and other area leadersWorking understanding of welding processes and technologyAbility to interpret welding symbols and terminology on fabrication drawingsWorking understanding of welding repair methods, weld testing methods, and welding documentation practices
