They are on the lookout for a skilled Back End Stack Engineer to join their ambitious project. This role is pivotal in crafting a top-tier application aimed at revolutionizing private banking for clients of independent wealth managers and family offices. Working closely with the design team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a seamless user experience across web and mobile platforms. The technology stack includes Django/Python for backend development and Next.js/React for frontend tasks.About the PositionThe Back End Stack Engineer will collaborate directly with the technical leadership, contributing significantly to the development lifecycle from planning to deployment. This position demands a proactive approach to creating responsive front-end applications and robust back-end systems.ResponsibilitiesEngage in all phases of software development, from planning to deployment.Work with 3rd party providers to build out integrationsDevelop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Next.js/React.Work in collaboration with the team to conceptualize, develop, test, and support new functionalities.Uphold high-quality standards and swift delivery through agile methodologies.Craft efficient, maintainable, and scalable code.Provide peer reviews and constructive feedback.Enhance and maintain the technological stack.Architect a flexible front-end and back-end structure.Implement robust security protocols and data protection measures.Address, debug, and refine software.Assure software compliance with quality, security, and configurability standards.Support documentation, testing, and automation efforts.RequirementsLocation preference for NYC-based candidates.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.A minimum of 3 years' back end development experience, preferably within a FinTech setting.Experience with full stack as well is a plusProficiency in Django/Python and Next.js/React.Knowledge of CI/CD practices and database management systems.Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.Experience in testing, debugging, and using code versioning tools like Git.Prior startup experience is an advantage, with a readiness to navigate early-stage challenges.Exceptional problem-solving, detail orientation, and collaborative skills.Independent work ethic with a strong sense of initiative.This role represents a unique chance to contribute to the architecture of a cutting-edge platform alongside a seasoned leadership team during a phase of dynamic growth.Our client is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
