Job Title: Data Base Administrator Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.Status: Full-time/ExemptReports to: Senior Manager of IT Work Schedule: Flexible within normal operational hoursOverview: The Data Base Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the development, performance, integrity, and security of data base systems, related servers, and data integrations for the Fowler companies.Summary of duties and responsibilities: Monitor database performance, conduct regular performance tuning, and optimize queries for maximum efficiency.Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools.Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data reliability and minimize downtime.Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as database backups, index rebuilding, and statistics gathering.Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect sensitive information.Identify and resolve database performance issues, such as slow queries, inefficient indexing, or resource contention.Conduct database capacity planning to anticipate future storage and performance needs.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database systems, including schema, configurations, and standard operating procedures.Assist with Performing data analysis and communicate/visualize data for end-users using SAP Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, and Microsoft ExcelManage and contribute to complex technical and business projects requiring advanced technical or industry knowledge.Identify and implement technical solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of companiesEstablish, implement, document, and communicate technology integration and reporting strategiesStay on top of industry trends, new products and solutions, and upcoming external factors that could impact business solutionsProactively strive for the highest levels of data reliabilityCollaborate with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve technical issuesServe as subject matter expert in multiple areas of relevant technologyOther duties as assigned or prudentEducation and/or Experience:Four-year college degree and/or technology certifications required.3-5 years' experience with Microsoft SQL databasesKnowledge of Cloud Infrastructure.Strong skills in SAP Crystal Reports and SSRS development is a plus.Superior analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyVista by Trimble Viewpoint ERP experience is a plus.Business Intelligence development experience using Power BISharePoint, Microsoft 365, Office 365, and Power Apps development experience is a plus.Support and report development experience using document management systemsSystem Administration / Microsoft server experience is a plus.Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; commitment to excellent customer serviceAbility to use independent judgment, maintain a high level of confidentiality and operate under minimal supervisionCompany BenefitsCompany-paid health insurance (dental, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance are provided)100% 401k match (up to 5% of salary)Paid holiday & vacation timeEducational assistanceVarious discount programsUtilitra is committed to building and sustaining an equitable and inclusive work environment where diversity is expected and valued.
