We are looking for a driven, detail focussed person to help support the growth of our Cattle Trading Platform.Job DescriptionThe Trading Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our Cattle Trading Platform. This fast paced position involves managing various administrative tasks, ensuring accurate data entry, facilitating communication between different stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with state and federal industry regulations. The Trading Operations Manager must have strong organization skills and an eye for detail. A preference will be given to candidates with an understanding of the cattle industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a capable Trading Operations Manager with a genuine interest in the cattle industry to contribute to a dynamic and growing business. The Trading Operations Manager will have the chance to engage with various aspects of cattle trading operations, from data management to compliance oversight, supporting the overall success of the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with buyers and sellers to manage all correspondence related to trade bookings, freighttransport arrangements, and communication of grid changes.Coordinate execution of standard form contracts with buyers and sellers.Running lien checks.Perform data entry tasks using programs such as Excel and turnkey databases with meticulous attention to detail.Develop, manage, and review compliance manuals, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.Implement and review control documents and reporting procedures to maintain accurate records.Provide statistical production reports on cattle performance to support decision-making processes.Review and maintain all necessary licenses and permits required for trading operations.Support and liaise with management and the livestock team to ensure smooth operations.Participate in feedlot audits and assist in maintaining compliance standards.Generate end-of-month inventory and stock reports for management.Work with the finance team to calculate final purchase price (after shrink and slide), manage payments to and from feedyards and ranches, including invoicing, billing, and tracking cash flow coming out of cattle trades.Preferred Skills and ExperienceA sound understanding of the cattle industry andor experience in live cattle trading operationsExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel data management and analysis.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing administrative tasks.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Friendly demeanor conducive to building positive industry relationships.Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.Experience in invoice processing, billing, and financial record-keeping.Proven ability to maintain databases accurately and identify discrepancies promptly.
